Dr.Preston wins the Hunger Games!!!!

There is a lot of drama in this chapter. I like Gatsby, but it seems like hes sort of taking daisy away from Tom. If Daisy doesn't like Tom anymore, then why didn't she leave him along time ago. Also, I don't understand when Tom says "Certainly not for a common swindler who’d have to steal the ring he put on her finger."

In chapter 3 of "The Great Gatsby" We start off at the party that Gatsby is hosting. The party is going well people are having a good time and getting drunk. After some of the women are getting mad at the men and normal stuff at parties. Then we meet the great Gatsby, Gatsby introduced himself to the narrator and talked to him as if he is higher than him, which he is. The narrator is interested in Gatsby because he says little to him and in the begging of the book the narrator states how he doesn't like it when people feel that he is such a great listener and hears all of their sob stories.

questions: 1) Why is Gatsby being well some might call anti-social? 2) What is the difference from being invited to Gatsby's party than to just showing up?
