MUSIC AS LITERATURE

I would consider music to be literature. Poems are considered literature and the definition of a poem is "partake in nature of both speech and song". In music, there is speech in the lyrics and in a form of a song. Also, poems sometimes have rhythm, music also has rhythm. The differences between a poem, a rap, a song, an opera and a symphony are some of them have a different tone. For example, a rap is sometimes meant to be rapid fast and a song is sometimes meant to be a lot slower. Another difference is some are meant to be in some form of music. An example would be that a novel is a story, not a song. Also, sometimes poems don't have to have rhythm in the poem.

My Remix Story

Jorge Araiza   A  D ay in Dr.Preston's  C lass   The last period of the day, seventh period, you look at the clock and you can see those great yet long lasting 5 minutes. You start to get your stuff ready but then your cut off by your annoying teacher saying "You do not pack up before for the bell, and plus the bell doesn’t dismiss you I do."   You nod  your head but then you start packing up once your teacher is looking away. The last minute, it looks so beautiful , yet  you start feeling like the universe stopped time to mess with you. Finally the bell rings and the stampede of students start running to the door.    As I start   to head to the parking lot I look at all the people around me and think, what are they  all thinking about. There are thousands of students at this school all with different objectives, different thoughts, different ideas, yet we all come to this high school and learn the same thing. ...

Chicago Post high school Plans (My response)

Here is the original Link to the article on "No post-High School Plans? Chicago Doesn't think you should Graduate" My response I don't think it's a good idea for Chicago to make it a requirement to make post-highschool plans. Chief Education Officer Dr. Janice K. Jackson stated: "We all need to change how we think about what it means to be a High School graduate a diploma alone isn't enough anymore." I totally agree with her statement, there is a high value in being a high school graduate. I have talked with mom before and she explained how you can have a 4.0, having extra Curriculum and you will graduate probably alongside a guy that barely made it with C's or maybe some D's. So I do think there should be a higher standard.
